The following is a guest post from our South American Socialites guest designer, Lorri McPherson. And before you learn a little about Lorri we just wanted to say congratulations to Lorri on the most wonderfully quirky collection of characters. Many of you may not know this but we weren't on the look out for new design team members when Lorri came along. We received a message out of the blue one day, with a fully prepared collection presentation down to the design names! It was love at first site for us at HQ and we knew right then and there that we were going help Lorri bring her vision to life.
Okay, over to Lorri :)
Hi Erstwildians! My name is Lorri and I’m a graphic designer from Sydney. One day I might be designing for corporate clients and the next I’ll be working with musicians and performing arts organisations – but every day I’ll be wearing a brooch! I’m a fanatical collector, so designing for Erstwilder has been a dream come true! I love the personality brooches bring to any outfit – my favourite pieces include Giggles the Gorilla and Brian B. Quaid, but I’m always on the edge of my seat to see what’s coming out next, and it’s such a thrill to see my own designs come to life and venture out into the world!
I’m mad about creatures great and small, so whenever I travel I’m on the lookout for inspiration. When I’m not designing, I’m spoiling my guinea pigs, going to galleries or the theatre, making polymer clay jewellery or creating content for the Facebook page Patrice the Guinea Pig. The Erstwilder community is amazing, and I’m so delighted to be able to be able to take my love-affair with brooches to the next level!

*Please note that our current roster for designers is full and as much as we'd like to we cannot accept new designers on our team at present. That said, if you have any ideas you'd love to see brought to life as Erstwilder pieces please don't hesitate to email us at hello@erstwilder.com.
