Earlier this month I had the pleasure of shooting 42 designs for Erstwilder over one weekend. With this I organised a few outfits to pair with the brooches and opted to shoot in natural light - my favourite!
I received a box of Erstwilder brooches all ready for shooting, it was really exciting to have a look at the new releases and it was nice to look at new ranges in full. I then sorted them into their release categories and broke the weekend shoot into a few sessions on the Friday so I had a plan to work with, I was also working on another campaign the same weekend and having a schedule was my number one priority in the lead up.
After writing out my schedule I started to look through my wardrobe and pull pieces out that had a nice colour, fabric texture or an interesting collar which would work for these images. The brooches had to look their best so I went through quite a lot of options.
After selecting a few outfits I laid the brooches on top of the clothing and took some test shots so I could see how they appeared on camera before I started shooting them on Saturday. Cardigans, dresses with fun collars and baby blue seemed to be my picks for the brooches.
After shooting I then spent about four hours on the following Monday sorting and editing the images before sending them to Erstwilder ahead of the release dates! I was happy with the results and the way that everything came together. There was plenty of coffee and snacks to get through them all but it was lots of fun to work with all of the pieces.
It was an honour and very exciting to work with Erstwilder this way, I have a lot of love for this amazing brand! Keep an eye on my blog as I continue to style new designs!
