The absolutely amazing Amanda (aka Modern June Cleaver), half of the Junebugs and Georgia Peaches duo, has put together a wonderful blog post enlightening us on how to create your own brooch board. And we love it! Sure, brooches are the perfect little accompaniments to complete an outfit, but we think they're gorgeous enough in their own right to remain on display at all times, rather than being tucked away in a drawer.
We've been wanting to offer up a bit of crafty DIY like this for some time, but there's certainly no need to re-invent the wheel when this lovely lady has taken up the challenge, and delivered in classic gingham style!
Before diving into her easy-to-follow and wonderfully visual step-by-step instructions Amanda would like to point out that: "I'm not crafty y'all. I'm the person who tries to create things and makes a complete mess, breaks something and burns herself with a hot glue gun." However, once you've seen her creation I'm sure you'll agree she's got bags of craftiness!
We're delighted to see that a few of Amanda's Erstwilder favourites made it onto the board and our Grouchy Bear brooch was fortunate enough to be worn throughout the whole production! Below are a few more images from the blog but for the full feature to sure to head on over the the original article!
Looks like Amanda might need a few more brooch boards to fit the rest of her Erstwilder collection!
Has this inspired you to go and create your own DIY brooch board? We'd love to hear how you currently display or store all your favourite brooch designs!
